Hi, my name is Amida, pronounced (am-ee-da) and I run this site with a lot of love - you can catch a glimpse of me through Instagram: @itsamida.
My spiritual journey began a couple of years ago and the more I grow in all aspects of life, the more gratitude engraves itself within me. I’ve always had a gut feeling to work in areas involving aspects of care, inspiration, enlightenment and the drive to be of service to people on this plane. The messages you will read on here are timeless, covering an array of everyday issues from dealing with stress, practicing self love to implementing boundaries and taking responsibility in your life.
Over time, my curiosity has peaked in using different tools such as a personally created oracle and tarot deck, charms, omens, dreams and crystals to provide guidance to friends, family and other people from all over the world. See below for a collection of some of my favourite cards from the traditional tarot deck which amongst all, represent wisdom, the cycle of life, intuition, happiness, love and growth. Feeling like you want to dive in deeper? Here’s a thorough breakdown of services to choose from
Home renovations, my oh my... have you seen Heather Dubrow's home makeover? I live for the excitement in seeing empty rooms transformed into wonderful spaces, especially basement changes. For me, they are hidden gems and I clearly see myself having a custom one in my dream home. Though I'm no expert in the exact placing of a picture above the bed, I certainly have a good eye and an admirable knack for Feng Shui.
Barcelona is probably one of my favourite places to visit. At times, I beat myself up for not starting a travel blog / vlog when I lived there since I took many memorable photos of popular places like the Bunkers of Carmel & Parc Güell. Rather, I stuck to Instagram and Snapchat stories (crazy, I know) and looking back, there was so much content and experiences I could have shared. But who knows, I might live there for a year or somewhere else in the future so stay tuned.
Okay, I think I get this from my mum. She’s always been known to prepare tasty Ghanaian delicacies for people's parties, birthdays etc... My cooking style, although different, is nothing short of delicious ahah (p.s. these aren’t my own words) therefore I have to give myself the credit here. I do this when I have time but of course, like everyone, I love to eat.
My upbringing in Ghana, my teenage years in Northern Ireland, my development years in Barcelona and my now life in Manchester has definitely influenced my music taste. My playlist combines R&B, Reggaeton, Hip Life, Bachata, Trap, Afrobeats, Rap, Hiphop, etc... and I promise you, there’s NO IN BETWEEN. It goes from one spectrum to the other, literally! To be honest, if the music has a good beat, that’s pretty much IT for me, dancing to my heart's content.
